Well, I think he has done what he came here to do and that was to get consolidation started. Time for him to move on now that his job is mostly done here. I had heard rumors that he wasn't going to accept the contract that the county was going to offer him here anyway. Maybe he can get that system out there to build multiple schools on one site. He has some pretty good idieas, though the 2-1 and 3-1 were not among those. I don't think anyone on here actually believed the multiple schools on one site plan was a good idea, but his other ideas were pretty good. He tried several different scenarios, all of which were voted down or died for lack of funding. The whole point he needed to get across was that the county can no longer afford to stay at the status-quo and something needed to be done. Everyone knew when he came, that he was a "consolidation" superintendent. If nothing else, he did get the county citizens to start looking at the finances of the county. The biggest thing everyone needs to realize is that he was doing what he thought the citizens of the county wanted, just that three of the communities started "bucking" the system when they realized he was intent on doing what he was brought here for.
I think he played his cards exactly the way he wanted to, and that was to get the 3 smaller schools closed and moved into the larger ones. Now, watch what happens in a couple years. There will be more than enough money to build 3 new schools.
If I was him, I would be tired of the circus he his having to deal with. Its got to feel like you are just ramming your head into a wall over and over again.

I don't blame him at all. He's trying to move an area forward that needs it and the people here won't let it happen. It's a no win situation.
